State SEA Information (SEAoO):

• SEAoO Licensure Committee chair, Tim Gilbert, recently posted new information on the Licensure web page.
• This will be the last Friday Update.  Starting in January 2012, we will be implementing a new communications protocol.  Each month we will send out a single state-wide eNewsletter that will go to all those in our database.  In addition, each regional director will be sending out region specific emails on an as-needed basis to alert you to events/news that need to go just to that region.  In doing this we hope to keep the amount of email to each of you down to a minimum, but at the same time provide you with timely and important information.  As always, we welcome any input you would like to provide.  Just send Kip Ping and email at [email protected] with any comments you have.
• Having your member profile up to date is always important, but because of the change to communications noted above, it is critical that members verify their profile with special consideration of the following:
• Email address - For obvious reasons this is important.  Note that we do not provide our membership database to anyone outside of SEAoO.
• Regional Category - This is the means to control what regional email you receive.  You may select as many or as few of the regions as you like.
• Include me in Structural Engineers Association of Ohio mailings - If you don't have this checkbox checked, you will get no email from SEAoO, regional or otherwise.  We respect your decision regarding this, but strongly encourage you to leave this checked since email is the only means we use to communicate with members.
• It's time for SEAoO Members to renew their memberships.  If you're not a member, this is also a great time to join.  Take advantage of the reduced rates ($10 off) until January 15, 2012.  If you have any questions at all, contact our membership chair, Mark Churpek at [email protected].
