About Us
SEAoO is an incorporated nonprofit professional association for practicing Structural Engineers in the State of Ohio. SEAoO is a member organization of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (www.ncsea.com). State- wide membership has grown steadily and SEAoO is at the forefront of issues affecting our profession
The SEAoO Mission
The thrust of SEAoO is to inform all parties about the importance of Structural Engineering to the safety, health, and welfare of the general public as well as promote excellence in our profession. Our association is founded upon underlying principles regarding the importance of knowledge, integrity, honesty, and diligence in our daily efforts that result in structures (buildings, bridges, etc.) that are dependable and safe for all who use them.
SEAoO Education Awards
SEAoO makes awards annually for research papers by undergraduated students. We plan to continue this program each year with the next submissions due August 1. Program instructions and previous papers are posted on the Basic Education Committee page, under About Us/Committees/BED: Click Here
